CrossFit is a total-body fitness program that can be customized for anyone at any fitness level. Our fun and safe program follows CrossFit methodology and focuses on eleven areas of fitness from strength and flexibility to stamina and endurance. Unlike other fitness programs that focus on using machines or work just one area of the body, CrossFit uses a wide variety of everyday movements in order to keep the workouts constantly varied and challenging. Ordinary movements like pushing, pulling, squatting, lifting, and running are utilized in order to achieve a complete full-body work out. Instructors are there from warm up through cool down to keep you safe and motivated.
Crossfit VCP is a 4,200 square foot fitness facility located at 13306 Cabin Hollow Ct. Suite 130 in Chico, California.
The first thing you might notice about our facility is we don't use machines and we don't look like a typical gym. Instead, CrossFit uses barbells, kettlebells, dumbbells, and we have a lot of open space for running, jumping, and climbing. Our goal is to keep the workouts constantly varied which keeps you engaged, motivated and works out your entire body. CrossFit workouts are comprised of ordinary movements that are essential to everyday life like running, squatting, pushing and pulling. Additionally, the CrossFit program supports 11 Pillars of fitness: nutrition, cardio-respiratory, endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. Each class has a certified CrossFit L-1 Trainer from warm-up to cool-down so you never have to work out alone.
Our total-body fitness program is a challenging workout for people of all ages, all body types, and all fitness levels. Our facility welcomes beginners and has created a 6-week fundamentals program giving you time to learn, adapt, and get comfortable with the program. In this smaller class setting we break down our core movements and slowly increase intensity while emphasizing technique and safety. Additionally, we use a functional movement screen to ensure you are achieving quality movement.
